These business cards were created for the American International Women’s Club of Düsseldorf (AIWCD), a non-profit organization comprised of English-speaking expats in the greater Düsseldorf area. In addition to hosting many activities for its members and helping them to assimilate in a new country, the AIWCD raises funds for various charities.
This design is a standard business card, created in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator). For this design, I created a pattern from the client’s logo, which was printed using spot-uv coating — a raised, transparent, glossy coating that creates a textural difference when compared to normal inks. The result is that the vector images printed in spot-uv reflect light (unlike matte surfaces), making the design visible.
