These business cards were created for Tracy Jude, an independent disc jockey in the Richmond, VA, area known as DJ Midnight.
This design is a 2.5-inch square business card. It was created in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator). For this design, I created a logo and a custom vector portrait of the client, then created the layout. To create textural interest, we used spot-uv coating — a raised, transparent, glossy coating that creates a textural difference when compared to normal inks. The result is that the vector images printed in spot-uv reflect light (unlike matte surfaces), making the design visible.
